Yan Collazo is a salsa singer who was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He has been in music for more than 15 years.

His beginning in the musical world is inspired by his family, since his father, who was also a singer when he was in his teens, inspired him to follow in his footsteps.

In Colombia, Yan Collazo was part of the two most important salsa groups in the country Guayacan Orquesta and Grupo Niche, where he became known thanks to his enormous talent in the studio and on stage.

His professional solo release was in 2012, the year he released his debut single. In that same year, he was awarded the Paoli prize as “2012 Salsa Revelation Artist”.

For 2013 he released, together with Diego Gale, the song “Homenaje a Mi Ídolo”, a hit that was widely accepted by the public from all over the world.

Since his foray into the artistic medium, he has worked with large tropical music groups such as Guayacán Orquesta, Grupo Niche, La Patrulla 15, El Grupo Karis, among others.
